Primary Duties:
- Preparing tax returns and/or extensions for individuals, nonprofits, partnerships, corporations and trusts
- Year end tax projections
- Tax Research
- Generating trial balances and financial statements
- Creating financial plans and strategies for desired financial goals
- Guiding and advising clients on accounting matters
- Responding to IRS and other taxing authority notices
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA license
- Proficiency in both tax and accounting related computer software (experience with CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, and Drake Software is a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with other members of the firm
- Completion of Advanced Certification with VITA
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments

Primary Duties:
- Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Review transactions, support documents, journal postings, etc. for accuracy, consistency, authorizations and compliance. Monitor transactions in accounting systems for clearing and outstanding items.
- Compile, maintain, and review data and daily reports for accuracy. Generate standardized financial reports.
- Resolve transactional inquiries, escalate broader issues.
- Respond to transactional inquiries from client groups.
- May be responsible for credit card administration and processing, travel cards and expendable reimbursements.
- May establish accounts in financial systems; prepare invoices.
- Maintain accounting/finance departmental files and desktop procedures and process documents for area of responsibility. Ensure compliance with policies, federal regulations and requirements.

Primary Duties:
- Communicate with tax clients regarding tax compliance matters
- Manage tasks to ensure tax clients receive frequent communication
- Perform initial review of simple returns and basic review of more complicated returns
- Assist Tax Preparation staff with preparation and technical questions
- Seek technical answers from CPA Lead or Partners
- Routinely prepare tax returns of varying complexity
- Conduct tax research when necessary
- Proactively communicate with other tax team members and clients when necessary
Skills & Requirements:
- Associates Degree. Completed or pursuing Accounting Degree, with a minimum of Intro to Tax (completed), as well as Advanced Certification with VITA
- Familiar in most levels of tax return preparation and accounting
- Outstanding collaboration, communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Capacity to respond positively to change and unanticipated tasks or events
- Ability to operate computerized office applications and accounting systems
